Pre Round Range facilities
Tralee Golf Club have recently upgraded their practice facilities to which we can confirm are superb! There is a driving range facility available to hit a few balls pre round and also plenty of facilities available for some practice chips and putts beforehand.

Halfway House
There is a shop run by the golf club in between the 9th and 10th holes that serves teas, coffees, soft drinks, hot and cold sandwiches etc. It is essential to fuel up before taking on the famous back nine!
More Golf?
There is a newly built Par 3 course adjacent to the golf course itself that has 6 holes ranging from 80 to 195 yards, containing three tees on every hole that is a lesson in course management itself! Maybe dial in the wedges pre round or in a more light hearted setting, get a few beverages and go have some craic after the real 18!
Fancy a swim?
That beach you see in the video is actually on the right hand side of the stunning par 5 second hole. Barrow Beach is a public beach that is openly accessible. There is a walkway down from the car park all the way to the beach. From packing the golf clubs into the car after 18 holes to a refreshing dip in the Atlantic in the space of five minutes without even getting into the car! Where would you get it?

Best place to eat post round?
The Oyster Tavern. It is a 10 minute drive from the golf club. It is well known around the area for being a favourite haunt of Tralee locals, golfers and visitors in general. They pride themselves on their seafood however they do have something for all budgets and tastes!
Accommodation
It is worth noting that the actual golf club itself is a 15/20 minute drive from Tralee town. There are numerous options available within Tralee town assuming that you have transport available to get to and from the golf course.
However, our recommendation would be to stay in The Barrow House which is a 2 minute drive from the golf club. The Barrow House is a luxurious beachfront guesthouse overlooking the stunning Barrow Bay itself. They regularly offer ‘Stay and Play’ rates collaborating with the golf club for bed and breakfast and green fees within the package.

Best Local 99
For the “whippy cone” lovers of the Irish golfing circuit, our experience of the “whip” in Topaz on the Fenit Road was better than most and we gave it a solid 7/10. This will be a regular segment of our reviews going forward and we hope it will add to all golf trips all over Ireland. We have an in-house expert on the circuit who has serious sweet tooth and is a fantastic judge of a good cone, so he says anyway!
